Pioneers of the Audy family

Simeon Audy-Roy was baptized on October 1st 1637 in Ste-Trinite de Creances, Manche, France. Son of Richard Roy and Gillette Jacquet, he married Claude Deschalets, daughter of François and Jacquette Chevallereau, on September 3, 1668 in Quebec City. They had 9 children. Arrived in the country in June 1665 as a soldier of Berthier's company, he settled in Quebec City and Montreal. Around 1682, he left Quebec to settle in New England with his family. Only his son Jean stayed. The date of his death, outside Quebec, remains unknown.
