Robert Gagnon was baptized on March 1st 1628 in Ste-Madeleine, La Ventrouze (Orne), in France. Son of Jean Gagnon and Marie Geoffroy, he marries Marie Parenteau on October 3rd 1657 in Quebec City. Ten children were born from their union. In 1656, he settles in Ste-Famille, Île d'Orléans. In 1667, he owns 7 heads of cattle and 15 acres of land. He is a fisherman and a ploughman. In 1681, he owns 1 gun, 6 heads of cattle and 20 acres of land. He dies in Sainte-Famille, Île d'Orléans on September 1st 1703, and this is where he is buried the following day. On February 21st 1704, his window dies in Ste-Famille, Île d'Orléans.
Mathurin Gagnon was baptised on October 22nd 1606 in St-Aubin, Tourouvre, Orne, in France. Son of Pierre Gagnon and Renée Roger, he married Françoise Godreau, daughter of François and Jeanne Jahan-Jean, on September 30th 1647 in Québec. From their union 14 children were born. He arrived in the country in 1640 and settled down in Québec. He moved to Château-Richer, where he received confirmation in 1660. In 1681 he owns 2 guns, 20 heads of cattle and 45 acres of land. He died on April 20th 1690 in Château-Richer.
