How to specify your criteria for a search
Your Folks offers two kinds of search:
You can swith between both kinds of searches by clickin on the corresponding tab.
Simple search
The only information you must give Your Folks is the surname of one of the spouses and one other surname or fisrt name. For example, the following query will return all the weddings where the husband's name is Gagnon and the wife's name is Marie:

Advanced search
If the Simple search gives too many results, you might want to specify more criteria to shorten it. For example, the following query would take into consideration:
Husbands whose first name includes Baptiste (ex. Jean-Baptiste) and whose surname includes Onge (ex. Saint-Onge)
It
It is important to note that:
Composite surnames or first names are not allowed for either spouse (ex. enter Paul or enter jean, but do not enter Jean-Paul)
If only one year is specified, only the weddings that occurred on that year will be considered by Your Folks (ex. if you enter Married between 1800 and no other year, only family records of 1800 will be searched)
Only use parish and/or Town when absolutely necessary. Those fields are the ones with the highest chance that the information we have differs from the search tem you give. If you use a place name, use only part of it (ex. Conception for Immaculate-Conception).
