Obituary of William Basile

WILLIAM BASILE "BILLY" CROWN POINT, IN William "Billy" Basile, age 60, of Crown Point, formerly of Calumet City, IL, passed away Monday, November 8, 2010. Billy was a member of the National Elevator Constructor Union and the past president of Calumet City Little League. He was a loving husband, father and papa. He will be greatly missed. Billy was preceded in death by his parents: Sam and Della Basile. He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Irene; children: Nicholas Basile, Erica Basile, Michael (Amber) Sbalchiero, Anthony Sbalchiero, Sam Sbalchiero, and Grace (Adam) Baker; grandchildren: Mia, A.J., Flora and Esther Baker; brothers: Vince (Kathy) Basile, Peter (Cherie) Basile and Rich (Inge) Basile; sister, Toni (Paul) Spangler; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, November 12, 2010 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 9:15 a.m. from Burns Funeral Home, Crown Point, going to St. Matthias Church, 101 West Burrell Drive, Crown Point, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. with Rev James Wozniak officiating.
