Obituary of William Allan

ALLAN, William Wilson (Bill/Jock): Lesley (Brownie) Allan, Tricia and Maurice Gordon, Heather and Warren Espin, Greg and Linda Allan, Jenny and Tony Ahern Christine and Rob Montgomery–Hall and their families give our sincere thanks and appreciation to our family, friends, and work colleagues, both here and in Scotland, for the many cards, flowers, plants, messages, phone calls, visits, baking and support received after Dad passed away on Waitangi Day February 6, 2016. A special thank you to Chester Borrows for leading the service of celebration of Bill''s long life and to Leith Miles for his tribute to Bill on behalf of the Police. Our heartfelt thanks to local Police and to Glen of Clegg''s Funeral Services for arranging a Police escort for our loved husband, Dad, Grandad and Great Grandad as he left on his final journey. Greg and Dad''s grandsons were very grateful to be able to accompany him. Our thanks also for the donations to the Parkinson Society. To the RSA for their involvement in Dads farewell and the Guard of Honour at the Chapel we thank you. To the amazing staff at Annie Brydon Rest Home thank you for your care of our Dad and the compassion you have shown Mum and our family - we will always be grateful. You enabled our Dad to reach the end of his life with both dignity and peace. To Dr Kirsten Cameron of Mountain View our thanks for all the care and empathy you showed to both Mum and Dad over the years. To our own children both here and overseas we thank you all for your support and love, you are truly wonderful and Grandad was so proud of you all. Finally Dad''s children would like to thank our darling Mum for her tireless dedication, love and care of Dad for over 61 years.
