Obituary of Walter-H. Schmidt

Walter H. Schmidt, 62, Holmes Beach, died Feb. 25, 2003. He was born Nov. 4, 1940, in New York and came to Manatee County in 1988 from Tampa. He was a computer systems manager with Lockheed Martin and General Electric. He was a member of the Island Players and the T-Bird Club. He served in the Air Force. He was a Lutheran. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann; daughters Kristine Lawson of Venice and Karen Bowes of St. Petersburg; a son, Walter J. of Charlotte, N.C.; and three grandchildren. No visitation is scheduled. The service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Island Chapel.
