Obituary of William-S. Dodd

DODD, WILLIAM S., 84, died on January 1, 2006. Born on August 15, 1921 in Jamaica, NY, and raised in Stamford, CT. He served in the Army Air Corps in Italy during WWII, then graduated from Middlebury College in Vermont. He had several jobs throughout his lifetime, New York Central Railroad in his early years, then Reynolds Metals in Richmond for ten years, then taught high school for 20 years in upstate New York, retiring to Tavares in 1978. He earned a Masters of Education degree from Colgate University in 1968 and was a Fulbright scholar. He is survived by his three sons, Phil of Seattle, Stu of Denver, and Larry of Washington, D.C., and six grandchildren. The family will receive friends at STEVERSON HAMLIN & HILBISH FUNERAL HOME, Tavares, on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 from 4:30-5:30PM.
