Obituary of Thomas-Subers Maxwell

<!-- FH = Bevis of Tallahassee -->Thomas Subers MaxwellThomas Subers Maxwell, 88, of Tallahassee, passed away Friday, October 21, 2011 in Dothan, Alabama. He was preceded in death on October 25, 2009 by his wife, Hazel Maxwell.The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, EDT, Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Fellowship Baptist Church, 3705 North Monroe Street in Tallahassee. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at MeadowWood Memorial Park on Timberlane Road in Tallahassee. Mr. Maxwell was a native of Grady County, Georgia and moved to Tallahassee in 1957.He was a salesman for Sunshine State Dairyman's Cooperative for 22 years; was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church; and served honorably in the United States Army during World War II. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Ann Maxwell of Enterprise, AL and Betty Jane Maxwell of Tallahassee; a son, Thomas Ray Maxwell (Sylvia) of Pensacola; four grandchildren, Leigh Anne Wilks, Nancy Christine Brown, Mary Elizabeth Matthews and Thomas Rohan Maxwell; and three great-grandchildren, Noah Wilks, Grace Wilks and Owen Brown.Mr. Maxwell is also survived by two sisters, Mary Van Johnson of Calvary, GA and Angie Lois May of Tallahassee; and a brother William Arthur Maxwell (Evelyn) of Chattahoochee.
