Obituary of Sister-Mary-Elizabeth Hennessey

ALBANY Sister Mary Elizabeth Hennessey, RSM, (Mary Consilio), died January 21, 2003 at Eden Park Nursing Home, East Greenbush. A Sister of Mercy for 71 years, Sister spent many years of ministry in education. Her teaching assignments included St. Teresa School in Albany, Our Lady of Victory School in Troy, St. John School in Rensselaer and Catholic Central High School in Troy. Sister was also an EKG Tech. at the former Cohoes Hospital. After her retirement, she resided at Eden Park Nursing Home in East Greenbush. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Margaret (Lewandosky) Hennessey of Troy. Sister is survived by her sister, Marjorie Hennessey of Troy. A Mass of Christian Death and Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2003 in the chapel. Viewing hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2003 in the Convent of Mercy Chapel, 634 New Scotland Ave., Albany. Relatives and friends are welcome and invited to attend a prayer service of remembrance in the chapel at 7 p.m. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Third Avenue, East Greenbush.
