Obituary of Ruth-Evangeline Ramsey


ALBERT, RUTH EVANGELINE - Unexpectedly after a short illness, Ruth Evangeline (Ramsey) Albert passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on June 16, 2007. Born in 1925 in West Dalhousie, NS, she was the daughter of the late Alice and William Henry Ramsey. She is survived by her sons, Raymond Albert of South Port, MB, Stephen Albert (Jo-Ann) of Saint John, Robert Crossman (Gladys) of Saint John and Daniel Metzler of St. Andrews; sisters, Irene Rice of Lake La Rose, N.S and Nina Rice of Grandville Ferry, N.S; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family who will mourn her passing. Besides her parents, Ruth was predeceased by her sisters, Grace Ashe, Annie Mailman, Blanche Mailman-Leonard; and brothers, Howard, Arthur and Billy Ramsey and Donald Briggs. For many years, Ruth Evangeline provided foster care for special needs children and was devoted to their care and welfare. At her request, there will be no visitation. Memorial service will be held at the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424) on Tuesday June 19th, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Immediately following the service, a reception will be held for family and friends at the home of her son, Stephen Albert. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ruth's memory to Passamaquoddy Lodge Nursing Home, (Patient Comfort Care) 230 Sophia St. St. Andrews, N.B.
