Obituary of Russel-H. Horne

Russel H. Horne, 77, Port Charlotte, died June 18, 2002. He was born June 15, 1925, in Detroit and came to the Charlotte County area 15 years ago from St. Clair Shores, Mich. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a Purple Heart recipient. A retired watchmaker and woodcarver, he was a member of the Charlotte County Woodcar- vers Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion Post 110 in Port Charlotte, Disabled American Veterans and DAV Commanders Club. Survivors include his wife, Alice M.; sons Russel W. of Mashpee, Mass., and Jeff of Mooers, N.Y.; daughters Cheryl A. Schork of Englewood, Pam of Sandwich, Mass., and Ruth Russo of Orlando; brother Ernie Chrysler of Miami; and 14 grandchildren. Private inurnment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte. Roberson Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Charlotte Chapel, is in charge.
