Obituary of Rose-M. O-Rourke

Rose M. O'Rourkeof Maine, N.Y.Rose M. O'Rourke, 97, of Maine, passed away peacefully Monday morning, September 13, 2004, at The Waters of Endicott. She was predeceased by her husband, John O'Rourke; a daughter-in-law, Lee O'Rourke; two sisters and four brothers. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Marianne and Harold VanAuken, Endicott; two sons and a daughter-in-law, John E. O'Rourke, Cincinnati, Ohio, Thomas and Marion, Endicott; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Frank Sasina, Endicott; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. Rosie was known for her baking and gardening and will be missed by all who knew her.Funeral services will be held at the J. F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City, Thursday at 11 a.m. The Rev. John R. Martinichio, Rector of Christ Episcopal Church, Binghamton, will officiate. Burial will be in Nanticoke Valley Cemetery, Union Center. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions to the Animal Care Council, 131 Washington Ave., Endicott, N.Y. 13760, in Rose M. O'Rourke's memory.
