Obituary of Rose Basile

Rose Basile (nee Fazio), a longtime Yonkers resident, died on Tuesday June 16, 2009 at St. John's Riverside Hospital. She was 89 years old. She was born on December 9, 1919 to John and Josephine Curialle Fazio in the Bronx where she was raised and educated. On October 30, 1939, she married her loving husband, Anthony Basile in Our Lady of Grace Church in the Bronx. Mr. Basile survives and lives in Yonkers. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Elaine Kibort and her husband, Robert of Hyde Park, N.Y., Sandra Basile of Barnegat, N.J. and Paula Urezzio and her husband, Raymond of Little Egg Harbor, N.Y., one brother, Jack Fazio of Lake George, N.Y. and three sisters, Helen Gray of Upstate, N.Y., and Edith Ordine and Violet Bisso, both of Hartwell, Ga. She is also survived by two grandsons, Anthony and Charles and one great-granddaughter, Amy An. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Zambri. Visitation will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Anthony's Church on Friday June 19th at 10 AM.
