Obituary of Romeo-J. St


Romeo J. St. Pierre, 77    FALMOUTH -- Romeo Jean St. Pierre, 77, entered into eternal life on Saturday, June 16, at Sedgewood commons in Falmouth, where he had been a resident for the pass three months. He had previously resided in Auburn.      He was born on July 26, 1929, in Lewiston, the son of Alfred and Rose Matteau St Pierre. He attended Lewiston schools and soon after enlisted in the Air Force, serving in the Philippines. After returning to the states, he worked in the retail clothing business, retiring as a department manager from J C Penney in 1989, after 33 years. On April 15, 1950, he married Constance (Simard) St. Pierre, the love of his life from the age of 14.      Romeo enjoyed his summers camping in Old Orchard with his family. The winters for years were spent in Dunedin, Fla. where he enjoyed his time with his wife and close friends. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend.      He will be sadly missed by his wife of 57 years; two daughter, Diane Whiting and husband Elmer of Auburn and Tina-Marie Driscoll and husband Bruce of Greene; two sons, Henri St. Pierre and wife Patricia of Gray, and Marc St. Pierre and wife Diane of Lewiston; a sister, Gertrude Bailey and longtime companion Henry Morin of Lewiston; nine grandchildren, Matt Whiting and fiancŽe Lori Thibodeau, Patrick Driscoll and fiancŽe Erin Smith, Peter Driscoll and fiancŽe Aimee Brooks, Allyson and Sara St. Pierre, Dan and Craig LaVallee, Trinity Driscoll, and Amy Coffman and six great-grandchildren.      The family would like to extend its gratitude to the staff of Sedgewood Commons Nursing Home for the wonderful care and friendship. Also special note of thanks to Beacon Hospice for the solace they provided to the family. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Jeanette Sirois of Lewiston.      Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11 a.m., at Holy Family Church in Lewiston.
