Obituary of Robert-A. Gentile

Robert A. (Bob) Gentileof EndicottRobert A. (Bob) Gentile, 61, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, November 18, 2004. He was predeceased by his parents, Dominic and Helena Gentile. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Marilyn (Newton) Gentile, Endicott; one son and daughter-in-law, Rob and Kristen Gentile, Sewickley, Pa.; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Matt Raleigh, Endwell; eight grandchildren, Alex, Lauren, Amanda, and Lucas Gentile, Sewickley, Pa., Alexis, Meaghan, Matthew, and Brody Raleigh, Endwell; one brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Margaret Gentile, Rochester, N.Y.; one sister, Roseann McCormick, Tex.; mother-in-law, Ann Newton, Binghamton; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Grant and Katlin Newton, Binghamton, Alan and Kathy Newton, Binghamton; nieces and nephews, Sean and Michelle Newton, Binghamton, and their children, Collin and AJ Newton, Binghamton, Tonya and Brian Hagerman and their son, Nathan Hagerman, Kirkwood, Dana and Tracy Gentile, Rochester, N.Y., David Stout and Joseph McCormick, Tex.; also several cousins, including Anthony and Betsy Romeo, Endwell, and Joseph Romeo, Albany; also many friends, including special friends, Rose and Floyd Katleski, Endwell. Bob was a graduate of LeMoyne College and a retired employee of IBM Owego. He was also a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family and visiting casinos.Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 22, 2004, at 8:45 a.m., at the James V. DeMarco & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, N.Y., followed at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
