Obituary of Patricia-Marie Carroll

CARROLL, Patricia Marie, 42, of Valrico, Fla., was received in grace by our Lord Thursday, September 27, 2007. Known affection-ately to her family as "Petey," she was a 6th grade teacher at Nativity Catholic School. She was a native of North Huntingdon, Pa., and had resided in the Bay area for 10 years coming from Arnold, Pa. A graduate of Greensburg Central Catholic High School and Seton Hill College, she became a senior buyer with Thrift Drug and Eckerd Corporation. She left the industry after 20 years and earned her teaching certificate. She was a member of Nativity Catholic Church, Brandon, and was involved in the baptism team, the mom' s club, the confirmation team and the Nativity School Auction Committee. She was also a member of the Valrico Oaks Homeowner' s Association and a local book club. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Leonard and Dina Demalon of Elizabeth, Pa., and George and Mary Bartko of West Mifflin, Pa.; and her loving great-aunt, Ann Hazy (Fransisconi, Trafalis) of Elizabeth Township, Pa. She is survived by her husband, Gerald R. Carroll; children, Anne Elizabeth, Dina Marie and Gerald III, all of Valrico, Fla.; parents, Leonard and Marie Demalon, North Huntingdon, Pa.; sister, Cheryl Yurek (Larry), North Hills, Pa.; their children, Jeremey Weiss, Baltimore, Md., Jason Weiss, White Oak, Pa., and Justin Weiss, North Hills, Pa.; brother, Mark Demalon (Carol), Hermanie, Pa., and their daughter, Jacqueline Demalon; sister, Lisa Alessandro (Ross), North Huntingdon, Pa., and their children, Brittany, Antonio and Nicco; and sister, Stephanie Demalon, North Irwin, Pa. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2007, in the main sanctuary of Nativity Catholic Church, Brandon. The family will receive friends 6:30-8 p.m. Sunday, September 30, 2007, in the chapel of Nativity Catholic Church, with a wake service at 7:45 p.m. Final services and interment will be in Aiken, S.C.
