Obituary of Pastor-David-Earl Ashe

ASHE Pastor David Earl Ashe, 68, of Orangedale, FL went to be with the Lord on May 14, 2013, peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Savannah, Georgia to parents Lee Ivey and Willie Bell Ashe. He pastored Wards Creek Baptist Church in Orangedale, FL for 22 years, after being ordained and serving at Russell Baptist Church for 11 years. After leaving Wards Creek Church, he served as interim pastor at Sharon Baptist Church and Shiloh Baptist Church in Green Cove Springs, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Elburn Ashe and sister Alvenia Robinson. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Linda (Hall) Ashe; children Vickie Greene (Todd), Marsha Morris (Sonny), David Ashe (Lawanda), Mary Blackwell (Steve), brother Ervin Ashe (Chris), sister Laverne Leach, 11 grandchildren, Tori, Todd, Meagan (husband Anthony), Aaron, Dillon, Devin, Tiffany, Mitchell, Ryan, Ethan, Austin and 1 great-grandson Josiah Collier due in August and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends whom have come to love him because of his love for God and people. He touched many lives in so many ways. He will always be remembered for his love of music and his wonderful talent for singing. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Russell Baptist Church with Pastors David Beecher and Ron Baker officiating. The family will receive friends in the church on Saturday from 10:00 am until service time. Interment will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.
