Obituary of Mildred-E. Grover

Mildred E. Grover, 95     SANFORD -- Mildred E. Grover, age 95, of Malcolm Avenue, passed away peacefully in the Newton Center in Sanford.     She was born January 22, 1911 in Kittery, the only daughter of Edward and Viena Bowker. She graduated from Traip Academy in Kittery before earning her teaching degree in Portsmouth, NH. She taught school in Kittery for several years before retiring to raise a family.      At the age of 15, Mildred joined the Grange. After she married, she stopped attending until the 1960's and remained a member of the Bauneg Beg Grange, York Pomona Grange, Maine State Grange and the National Grange. Mildred enjoyed knitting, gardening and her flower gardens.     Her husband, Everett Grover, passed away in 1988. She is survived by her son, Robert Grover, of Sanford.     Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, May 3 from 7-9p.m. with a Grange Service held at 7:30 at the Johnson Funeral Home, 26 Market Street, North Berwick.
