Obituary of Mary Greene

<!-- FH = MEMORIAL PARK CHAPEL, FUNERAL HOME --><!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->GREENE, Mary "Eloise" age 87, of St. Petersburg, fell asleep in the Lord at home on May 12, 2014. She had been a resident of St. Petersburg since 1969, where she worked for St. Anthony's Hospital and Bayfront Medical Center as well as the Nurses Registry as a registered nurse. She grew up in Sarasota and graduated from Sarasota High School where she was in the band. She completed the nursing program at Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta, GA, where she met her husband, Hank, who passed in 1996. Before coming to St. Petersburg, they lived in Jackson, MS, and Metairie, LA. Eloise was a beloved and faithful member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church where she volunteered and served as a Eucharistic Minister. Eloise is survived by her children, Sharon Meadows of Madison, MS, Lee Greene of Ridgeland, MS, Mary Greene of Eagle River, AK, Patricia Greene-Glass of Mountain View, CA, and John Greene of St. Petersburg. She is also survived by four grandsons, James, David and Kevin Glass and Henry Greene; her two step-grandsons, Christian and Curtis Brooks; two granddaug-hters, Joanna Meadows Davis and Amanda Meadows Hines; step granddaughter, Amanda Brooks; and great-grandson, Hunter Hines. Visitation will be held at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, at 1600 54th Ave. South, Friday, May 16, 9 am, followed by the funeral mass at 10 am. Burial will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery.
