Margaret M. Potter LEBANON - Margaret M. (Cheyne) Potter, 86, of Lebanon, died suddenly on July 27, 2013. Born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, on Aug. 8, 1926, of Scottish immigrants, Margaret J. and David J. Cheyne, she grew up in St. John, New Brunswick. She moved to the United States when she married the late Brewster H. Potter, Sr., of Boston. A devoted mother and grandmother, she is survived by sons, David, of Raymond, N.H., and Brewster H. Jr., and his wife, Joanne, of Lebanon; daughters, Sarah Jane and partner, Kevin Blood, of North Berwick, and Lois Bennett and her husband, Daniel, of Eliot; and two grandchildren, Charlotte and Gordon Potter. She is also survived by her in-laws, Thelma Potter, C. Thomas Potter and his wife, Barbara, and nieces and nephews. She was a beloved friend to all, a talented artist, and a lifelong community volunteer, including serving as a member of the Dorcas Society for many years. To celebrate her life, a gathering for family and friends will take place at her home on Friday, Aug. 9, from 2 to 6 p.m.
