Obituary of Linda-Gail Lambert

COTTONDALE Linda Gail Lambert, age 57, of Cottondale, died May 9, 2010, at Park Manor Nursing Home. A memorial service honoring her life was held May 13, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Wilma Haygood.She is survived by her husband, Ken Lambert, sister, Sue Cunningham (Johnny), sister, Janet Tubbs (Ricky), brother, Gary Haygood (Arlene), several nieces and nephews, and JW and Sally Bates. She is also survived by her extended family, Kay Sellers, Godchildren Cyndi (Tim) and Jennifer (Andy), grandchildren Daniel, Madison, Cayson, Camryn-Jewellette, Alexander, and Anthony, as well as special extended family members Aubrey and Cindy Wilson, and "Momma Linda's boys" Alan and Tyler Wilson.Gail was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and spent her entire life caring for children. She enjoyed attending church, and teaching Sunday School classes. She took much pleasure in planning lessons, crafts, plays and activities for her church children. She was a hard worker and very devoted to any project that she took part in. Honorary pallbearers are New Harvest Church of God members and her Sunbeams Class, John and Mildred Burroughs, Peggy Boyett, Neal Barrett, Kyle Colburn, Angie Quilliams, and employees of Phifer Wire.When we remember our Godmother and our Big Nanny, we thank the Lord above, because Godmothers and Big Nannies are always chosen with love.
