Obituary of Joseph-B. Hayden

HAYDEN, JOSEPH B. "JOE," 77, of Louisville, passed away on May 2, 2013, at Jewish Hospital surrounded by his family. Joe was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church and also in the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Joe worked for Duplicator Sales & Service, was a graduate of Flaget High School in 1953, and was a marine veteran. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Marietta Hayden; sister, Sally Hayden; and son, Adam Hayden. Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann (Allgeier) Hayden, of 55 years; children, Gary Hayden (Lori), Lisa Snider (Paul Mudd), and Jude Hayden; seven grandchildren, Michael Snider, Heather Snider (Speer), Rachel Hayden, Cassandra Hayden, Marc Hayden, Lisa Hayden, and Rosemary Keuhn; and two great-grandchildren, Rosalee Kandra and Braden Snider. His body was donated to the University of Louisville Medical School. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Holy Family Church, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Holy Family or St. Vincent DePaul Society. The family also wishes to thank the staff, doctors and nurses at Jewish Hospital, especially all of those in the Intensive Care Unit, for the wonderful care Joe received during his stay.
