Obituary of John-Robert Amos

HENRYVILLE - AMOS, JOHN ROBERT, 78, passed away Friday April 30, 2010 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN. He retired from G.E. after 37 years, and worked for Heil's Auction Service. John served his country in the United States Navy and attended Christ's Community Church. He was the owner of Amos Antiques and enjoyed tractors and spending time with his family. Survivors include: wife, Kaye Amos, Henryville; sons, Mark (Trina) Amos, Henryville, Loren (Loretta) Amos, Henryville; daughter, Lorilea (Brian) Jackey, Henryville; sister, Dorothy Amos Robertson, Henryville; grandchildren, Kyle Jackey, Jordan Amos, Sarah Jackey, Rachel Amos, Lily Grace Jackey. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Christ's Community Church in New Albany, with burial to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon-8 p.m. Monday at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg, and from 9 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday at the church.
