Obituary of John-C. Travers

John C. Travers, 88, of St. Augustine, died in his sleep September 6, 2002 at Bayview Care Center. Formerly of Georgetown, Mass.He owned his own Construction Company for over 25 years and was superintendent of roads in Newbury, Mass. He retired and moved to St. Augustine in 1987. He was an active member of the St. Augustine Duplicate Bridge Club. He was also a member of Anastasia Baptist Church.A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Anastasia Baptist Church.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hope Hall, 1612 Buffalo Rd., Rochester, N.Y. 14624.He is survived by his four daughters, Patricia Kelly, West Newbury, Mass., M. Kathryn Salem, North Reading, Mass., Margaret Travers, West Newbury, Mass., and Elizabeth Green, St. Augustine, he has one son, John Travers, West Newbury, Mass., and twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.Craig Funeral Home and Crematory are in charge of arrangements.(PAID NOTICE)(Please sign the guest book at www.staugustine.com)
