Obituary of Jeanne Norris

Jeanne Threatt Norris, 82, of 40 Woodpoint No.30, died Wednesday, August 23, 2006.Born in Buncombe County, N.C., Jeanne was the wife of the late Paul T. Norris and the daughter of the late William Price and Mary Madeline Hembree Davis. Mrs. Norris was a member of the Greenville Women's Club for over 40 years, the Gridley Club, a lifetime member of the Eastlan Baptist Church, and was active in Greenville Civic Affairs.She is survived by three daughters, Jeanne T. Hoffman of Mars Hill, N.C., Anne T. DuPuis of Dallas, Texas, and Becky T. Morgan of Mars Hill, N.C.; one son, Ellison H. (Sonny) Threatt, Jr. of Greenville, S.C.; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Worth Martin; her first husband, Hines Ellison Threatt; and one son-in-law, Dr. Richard L. Hoffman.A private graveside service was held August 26, 2006, at Woodlawn Memorial Park, officiated by Dr. H.
