Obituary of James Stoddard

James "Jim" Stoddard, 72, died Nov. 28, 2010, at St. Lucie Medical Center. He was born in New Orleans and lived in Port St. Lucie since 2005, coming from Fairfax, Va. Before retirement, he worked as an iron worker for Union Local No. 5 in Washington, D.C. He served in the Navy. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a Scoutmaster in Arlington, Va. Survivors include his wife of two years, Sharon Stoddard of Port St. Lucie; daughters, Mitze Thornhill of Fairfax, Tina Sclarandis of Nebo, N.C., and Aimee Hix of Fairfax; son, James Stoddard of Fairfax; sister, Joanne Pifer of Port St. Lucie; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
