Obituary of James-George Meredith

CORYDON - Meredith, James George "Jim," 90, died Saturday, August 31, 2013, at Corydon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon. He was born July 24, 1923, in Mammoth Cave, KY, to the late Jesse Floyd and Emma Kerr Meredith. He was a member of White Mills Baptist Church in White Mills, Kentucky and attended Heidelberg United Methodist Church near Corydon with his sister, Verda. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Harley and Floyd Meredith and his sisters, Ruth Helen Fulkerson and Norma Meredith. Survivors include his brothers, Daniel Meredith of Louisville and Richard Meredith of Indianapolis, IN; and his sisters, Harriet Davis of Corydon, Bertie Thompson of Scottsburg, IN and Verda Whitman of Corydon. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Pastor Scott Taylor will officiate. Burial will be in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens in Elizabethtown, KY. Visitation will be noon 8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
