Obituary of John-Daniel Lindsey

LINDSEY, JOHN DANIEL, Age 89, of Bessemer, formerly of Boldo, passed away Oct. 23, 2012. Funeral service is Sat. Oct. 27, 2012 at 11:00am at Kilgore-Green Chapel. Visitation is Sat. Oct. 27, 2012, from 9:30am-11:00am. John Adams presiding. Burial at Portzer Family Cemetery. He is survived by his son, Jeffery Scott Lindsey, wife Tina and their children Daniel and Christina; daughter, Joanie Carole Lindsey Gable, her children, Cassie and Jamie, and her grandchildren, Tessa Estelle and Scarlett Olivia. He enjoyed square dancing, gospel singings, loved to cook, was fun-loving & always a big kidder, loved his family, & was always willing to help anyone in need. He taught his children many valuable lessons. He was a decorated veteran of WWII & was wounded in the Battle of the Bulge. He received a Purple Heart and many other medal & awards. He was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Estelle Lindsey, grandson Wesley Gable, parents Thomas & Bobbie Lindsey, siblings, Cula, Eula, Paul, Hubert, Willie, LeRoy, Walter & Nellie.
