Irene T. Darling BELLINGHAM Irene T. (Boyle) Darling, 80, of Bellingham, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 15, 2009, at Milford Regional Medical Center, with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife for 60 years of David H. Darling. She was born on May 5, 1928, in Franklin, the daughter of the late John and Irene (Creighton) Boyle. She was the loving mother of Kathleen T. Dufresne and her husband, Leo, and Patricia E. St. Gelais and her husband, Richard, all of Bellingham, Sandra A. Rice and her husband, Howard, of Block Island, R.I. She also leaves five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. She was also the grandmother of the late Jack Martel; and sister of the late Edward "Sonny" Boyle and the late Evelyn Masters. A resident of Bellingham for 70 years, she was formerly of Franklin. Mrs. Darling worked at Rosecraft in Woonsocket, until its closing, and previously at National Fabrics and the Bellingham Library. She was an avid bingo player, enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and was a member of the MBBA, Massachusetts Beach Buggy Association. She was devoted to her family and will be greatly missed. The funeral will be held Friday, March 20, at 9 a.m., from Cartier's Funeral Home, 151 South Main St. (Rte. 126), Bellingham, with a Mass of Christian burial, at 10 a.m., at St. Theresa Church, 680 Rathbun St., Blackstone. Interment will be in Cooks Cemetery, Woonsocket, R.I. Visiting hours are Thursday, March 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. Relatives and friends invited to attend.
