Obituary of Hugh O-Neil

O'NEIL, Hugh James January 31, 1943 to December 25, 2014On December 25 I lost the love of my life to cancer. Hugh had fought, over the last 2+ years, a very rare form of melanoma which affected his eye and recently metastasized to liver cancer. It is a devastating illness that Hugh battled valiantly. Hugh was a wonderful father to Shaun, Philip (Dig), Patrick and pops to Wylie O'Neil. Hugh is survived by his mother Ethel and his siblings, Dennis, Bonnie and Susan who are all devastated by the loss of their big brother. We thank all the good people at the CNIB, the entire team at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto and most recently the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital staff who gave Hugh as much peace as possible in his last days. A private wake will be held for family and close friends in Uxbridge. In lieu of flowers, we would appreciate any donations be given in memory of Hugh to the CNIB or Alzheimer's of Ontario, which afflicts Hugh's mother. Sherry O'Neil and family
