WHEELER , Henry May 23, 1927 - March 13, 2010 Henry Wheeler, much loved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, peacefully passed away at Carewest Signal Pointe on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the age of 82 years. Henry was born near Langham, SK, and was raised on the family farm. After graduating from high school, Henry lived in various small prairie towns before moving to Calgary in the early 1950's. It was here that he met his wife, Pauline. After their marriage, he studied and became a Chartered Accountant and spent most of his professional career working for Revenue Canada. He began many life-long friendships during this time and was highly regarded for his wit and insight. Henry gave of his time generously and always put the well-being of his family first. Henry was an avid baseball fan, loved to curl and bowl and was a member of the Sons of Norway. After retiring he was an attentive grandfather and enjoyed travelling. He was predeceased by his wife, Pauline, in 1990. Henry will be lovingly remembered by his three daughters, Peggy Gorrie (Chris), Carol Wheeler, Deborah Wheeler (Al Eberle); his three grandchildren Sarah, Gillian and Andrew; his sister Pauline Speidel (John) and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) today, March 17, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery.
