Obituary of Harry Edwards

ConstructionDALLAS -- Mr. Harry "Eddie" Edwards Jr. of Dallas, who has family in Polk County, died of heart failure Thursday (May 15, 2003) at home. He was 70.Born in Laurel Hill on March 24, 1933, he moved to Dallas more than 40 years ago. He worked in construction in Dallas and Florida for more than 45 years where he built many homes and apartments. He was also a pilot, holding all the ratings and endorsements available, and a musician.Mr. Edwards is survived by his sons, Rodger Edwards, Dallas, Rhett Edwards, Lake Wales; brothers, Pete Edwards, Kenneth Edwards, Royce Edwards, all of Lake Wales; sisters, Pearl Burrows, Lake Placid, Pauline Locke, Longwood, Carolyn Edwards, Jacksonville. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Thursday at Marion Nelson Funeral Home of Lake Wales. Services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.
