Obituary of Gloria Bishop

EVANS, Ga. - Entered into rest on Sunday, May 20, 2007 at her residence in Brandon Wilde, Mrs. Gloria Bishop, wife of the late Alfred W. Bishop. Mrs. Bishop was a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., spent most of her life in Long Island before retiring to Gulfport, Fla. In the last year, Mrs. Bishop made Evans, Ga. her home. She retired from Waldbaums after working as a bookkeeper for 15 years. Mrs. Bishop loved ballroom dancing and swimming and was very independent. She loved and enjoyed her family very much. Survivors include her daughter, Eileen Franco of Roanoke, Va.; sons, Bob Bishop of Evans and the late Alfred R. Bishop; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 24, 2007, 11:00 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Roverse celebrant.
