Obituary of Frank Ritchie

RITCHIE, Frank 88 years old, died peacefully in his sleep on December 3, 2007. Frank was born in Windsor. He graduated in Engineering from Queen's University in Ontario, in 1942 and started his career at Ford of Canada. He received his MBA from the University of Michigan in 1969, and was transferred by Ford to the US where he worked in the Transmission and Chassis Division. He retired as Livonia Transmission Plant Manager in 1979. Until recently, he was a member of the Beach Grove Country Club and an avid golfer and curler. He belonged to the Detroit Curling Club and loved curling. Frank was the loving husband of Betty for 61 years and is survived by her and their three children, John, Elizabeth, and Mark and 6 grandchildren: John, Kathryn, Andrew, Leah, Katelynn and Maggie. Visitation Wednesday 6-9 p.m. and Thursday 3-6 p.m. at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road, Livonia. In state Friday 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, 14175 Farmington, Livonia.
