Obituary of Frances-E. O-Neil

Frances Ellen (Bloomer) O'Neil of Weston, formerly of Watertown passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on August 19th at the age of 91. Devoted wife of the late John William O'Neil. Loving mother of William C. O'Neil of Maynard, Tracey A. Anderson and her husband Christopher of Weymouth. Dear nana to Colleen and Benjamin Anderson. She lived a rich and fulfilling life and was proud to serve her country as a veteran of World War II in the service of the United States Coast Guard. Frances was an extremely loving and giving person who took great joy in her family and had an amazing ability to help and inspire others. She constantly put others needs above her own and has left behind a legacy of compassion and caring that will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. She is also survived by her sister Joan Malis and sister in law Mary Bloomer both of Watertown as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. Frances is the daughter of the late John and Mary (Woods) Bloomer and the sister of the late Gerald, Kavin, Harold, and Gerard Bloomer, Margaret O'Brien, Agnes Maguire, and Jane Shutt. Funeral services were held on August 22nd at St. Patricks Church. Donations in Frances's memory may be made to Life Choice Hospice, 460 Totten Pond Rd., Waltham.
