Obituary of Fay Thompson

Fay Thompson a long time Yorktown resident passed away on December 16, 2009 at the age of 80. Mrs. Thompson was born in 1929 in Bronx, New York to Daniel and Antoinette Fedro. In 1948 she married Walter E. Thompson in Bronx, NY who predeceased her in 1996. She was a clerk at Reader's Digest, Pleasantville NY, retiring in 1980. She was a daily parishioner of St. Patrick's Church in Yorktown Hts, a member of St. Patrick's seniors organization, a volunteer at Support Connection of Yorktown, and worked for the Yorktown Board of Elections. She is survived by four children: Walter J. Thompson (Linda), Patricia Soravilla (Kevin), Robert Thompson (Linda), and Steven Thompson (Amy). She is the proud Grandmother of 8 grandchildren: Katje and Kristy Thompson, Robert and Stephanie Thompson, Dana, Brynn, and Alana Thompson, and Kevin D. Soravilla. Also survived by sister Rita Pizzurro and brother Gerard Fedro and many nieces and nephews. Visitation is Friday from 24, and 7-9, Clark Funeral Home, Yorktown. Funeral Mass Saturday at St. Patrick's New Church 10 am and internment Assumption Cemetery.
