Obituary of Elizabeth-R. Ahern

WILLISTON - Elizabeth Rose "Betti" Ahern, 61, formerly of Ludlow, Rutland and Fayston, died Feb. 9, 2014, of lung disease.She was born Sept. 16, 1952, in Dorchester, Mass., the daughter of John and Elsie Ahern. She was employed at Downs Rachlin Martin in Burlington as a legal assistant. She helped to coordinate the preparation of meals for those in need through the United Way and was also active in the Rutland chapter of the Kiwanis Club. Survivors include two daughters, Michelle and Susie Snow; two grandchildren; and four siblings, Pat, Ray, Jack and Gerry.She was predeceased by her parents.The celebration of her life will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, at The Inn at Round Barn Farm in Waitsfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mad River Community Fund at mrvcommunityfund.org.
