Obituary of Elizabeth Hagan

HAGAN, ELIZABETH "BETTY," passed away peacefully on Friday, July 20, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 4, 1928 in Washington, D.C. At a young age she moved to Louisville. Betty graduated from Sacred Heart Academy and later retired from U of L Brown Cancer Research Center. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Austine (Brooks) Stevens; her daughter, Elizabeth Hagan; sisters, Mary Wright and Barbara Trombley; and a brother, Arthur Stevens. She is survived by her devoted sons, Mark, Phillip and Dr. Stuart Hagan and his wife, Katie; two grandchildren, Emily and Connor Hagan; her sister, Jane Spratt; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m Tuesday at Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, St. Matthews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon Wednesday at Our Lady of Lourdes, 508 Breckenridge Lane, with burial to follow at Hebron Cemetery in Shepherdsville.
