Obituary of Doris-B. Reid

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Doris B. Reid, 78, wife of the late Johnnie Reid, died Sunday, June 1, 2008. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Tom H. and Eula Brady Badger. Mrs. Reid was a homemaker, President of the Goldstar Mothers, and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She is survived by one granddaughter, Gena Reid Price and two great-grandchildren, Alison and Timothy Price, all of Evans, Ga.; and a brother, Tom Badger and his wife Hilda of Spartanburg, S.C. She was preceded in death by a son, Johnnie Gene Reid; brothers, Joe, Bill, and Doug Ammons; and a sister, Sybil Edwards. Memorials may be made to Camp Juliet, c/o University Health Care Foundation, 2100 Central Avenue, Suite D1, Augusta, GA 30904. Visitation will be held 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 2, 2008 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown, Greenville, S.C. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Greenville, S.C. The family will be at their respective homes.
