Obituary of Donald Powell

LAKELAND -- Mr. Donald Morgan Powell of Lakeland died of cancer Sunday (Sept. 8, 2002) in Lakeland. He was 76.Born in Humanoke, Ark., on March 15, 1926, he came to Lakeland from Jacksonville in 1991. He was a sales manager for Good Housekeeping Gas Co. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was a Methodist.Mr. Powell is survived by his wife, Dorla Maxine Powell; sons, Alan Powell, Mableton, Ga., Gerald Powell, Lakeland; sister, Connie Hooper, Tucson, Ariz.; half sister, Reba Radford, Michigan; two grandchildren.
