Obituary of Donald G. Stevenson

of Leominster; 89 LEOMINSTER -- Donald G. Stevenson, 89, formerly of Leominster, died Sunday, May 27, 2012 in the Life Care Center of Leominster, after an illness. His wife of 40 years, Sylvia E. (Crowell) Stevenson, died in 1998.He leaves a son, Donald H. Stevenson and his wife, Lois, of Orlando, FL; a step-daughter, June S. Coolidge and her husband, Eric, of Shrewsbury; a brother, Richard C. Stevenson of Fitchburg; one grandson, Marshall Stevenson of Orlando, FL; two great-grandchildren: Victoria & Thomas Stevenson; four step-grandchildren: Lynda Reese, Denise Coolidge, Robert Coolidge and Mark Coolidge. One sister, Eleanor Taylor, predeceased him.Donald was born in Marlborough, son of George I. and Letitia (Wing) Stevenson, and lived in Leominster most of his life.For many years, he worked as a machine operator at various Plastics Manufacturers in the Leominster area. In addition, Donald was a Special Police Officer for the City of Leominster at the Leominster Reservoir.He enjoyed music and roller skating.STEVENSON -- Donald's funeral service will be held on Friday, June 1, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., Clinton. Rev. Oscar Wallace of the First Parish Church of Berlin will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Marlborough. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour at the funeral home on Friday morning, from 10:00-11:00 a.m., prior to the funeral service.
