Obituary of Dennis-Philip Boyle

BOYLE Dennis Philip 1950 - 2006 Dennis passed away at the age of 55 at the Rockyview General Hospital on Monday, April 3, 2006, surrounded by his loved ones after an all too brief but valiant battle with cancer. Den was dearly loved and will be forever missed by Bonnie, his devoted wife of almost eighteen years and his two children, Robyn and her husband Clayton of Conrich, AB and Andrew of Olds, AB. Denny was the younger brother to Orville and his wife Barbara of Orono, ON, Ren and his wife Linda of High River, AB, Linda and her husband Glen of Ajax, ON. Den was an adored and cherished Grandpa to Cammy and Katie who will never understand why he is gone, and all the nieces and nephews for whom Uncle Den was always there. He was our rock. Dennis worked for Patron Equipment Supply Inc. as their Senior Account Executive for twenty-nine years and built life-long friendships with his co-workers and customers who will greatly miss him. He impacted the lives of everyone he knew. Den will be fondly remembered by his many friends, neighbors and extended family in both Alberta and Ontario for his gentle strength, open heart and helping hands. Our profound sadness will, in time, be lifted by the memories of the laughter, escapades and time we shared with Dennis. Words cannot express the love and support we received from all of the staff and nurses on Unit 72 at the RGH. A special thank you to Dr. Jenken for trying so hard - we know you would have done more if you could have. To Dr. Chary and Ursula Bohn of the Palliative Care Team that cared so much and helped Dennis and all of us in so many ways. To Tara for your patience with all of us and for your love - you have touched our hearts more than you will ever know. To Emma for your gentle heart and being there that first night when we just needed someone to tell us what was happening. To Olive for her compassion and for giving us hope. And to Carrie who was always there to answer our million questions and for helping Den and our family in his final moments here on earth. Den loved all of you and we know you loved him. A Memorial Service will be held at Chestermere Christian Fellowship in Conrich, AB at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2006 with Pastor Andy James officiating. Directions to the church are as follows: east out of Calgary on 16 Avenue (No. 1 Highway) and turn north on Conrich Road - Mountain View Campground is on that corner.
