Obituary of Deacon-Clarence Ford

Deacon Clarence Ford, 81, of Irvington returned back to his Lord on July 4, 2010. Deacon Ford was the loving husband of Margaret Ford; beloved father of Lamont Knight, Clarence Carmichael, Portia Johnson, Andrea, Leonard, Alvin, Harold, Dwight, Robert and the late Gwendolyn Taylor; dear brother of Marie Carr, Ann Street and Annamay Hall, also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service is Saturday at 10 a.m. at Greater Abyssinian Baptist Church, 88 Lyons Ave., Newark. Entombment is in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. Visitation is on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at church. Arrangements entrusted to Cotton Funeral Service.
