Obituary of David Delaney

DELANEY, David RichardAugust 28, 1951- February 4, 2010David passed away after a long, tough fight with pneumonia. He leaves behind Joyce, John and George. These are people David lived with, cherished and watched out for. He also leaves behind everyone who had the privilege and joy of meeting him. No one ever thought that anything could stand in the way of David's vitality, open heart and contagious laughter. David persevered year after year under conditions that would have crushed the spirit out of most people, yet when he arrived to his new home in 1991, his support staff met a man who was fun-loving, kind, very creative and definitively assertive! David absolutely insisted on his personal liberty. Everyone who ever had the honour of being touched by David's warmth feels disbelief and deep sorrow that he is gone in body, however David's spirit has left the gift of wonderful memories that no one else could have given, thank you David, you are free at last.
