Obituary of David-Cameron La-Rose

La ROSE, David Cameron, born December 31, 1940, passed away May 31, 2004. "I had a good life and I did it my way". Our father decided to make his grand exit at 3:45 pm on May 31, 2004 after a short but brave 5 month battle with cancer. He was 63 years at the time. David is remembered by his mother Elsie; father Jim; brothers, Barry, Jack, Richard and Tom; sister Isabelle. David was predeceased by his brother Raymond. Our father also had half brothers and sisters; a son Ricky; daughter Brenda; numerous nieces and nephews and grandchildren: Rick's daughter Amy; Brenda's children, Daphne and Fred; a wife Doris; also many other beloved friends and family. David had alot of charisma, was humourous and enjoyed life to the fullest with activities such as guitar, dancing, playing pool, swimming, diving, playing baseball, watching old movies, travelling, cooking, hunting and fishing. Dad also told me that he did cry sometimes when he was alone. I'm also relieved that my father is not in pain anymore. Our thanks also goes out to the nurses and staff at Burnaby Hospital for their support. Also Dr. Wong who visited him everyday while on his rounds. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the ALS Society of BC. No service by request although a small gathering will be held at Rick's house in honour of our father, 604-315-6505 for messages.
