Obituary of Darrell-Edward Payne

Darrell Edward Payne Darrell Edward Payne, 40, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005. The service will be at 2 p.m. CST Thursday at Cypress Baptist Church, with the Rev. Darrell Sammons officiating. Burial will follow at Cypress Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. CST today at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel (850-482-2332).A native of Macon, Ga., he had lived in Grand Ridge and graduated from Grand Ridge High School in 1983. He attended Chipola College and then moved to Tallahassee, where he lived most of his life. Darrell was a Baptist. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Freda and Terry Porter of Cypress; two brothers, William "Bill" Payne of Marianna and Steve Payne of Fort Lauderdale; two sisters, Belinda McLane (and husband Alan) and Pam Clark (and husband Darrell), both of Grand Ridge; two stepsisters, Barbie Burdeshaw of Marianna and Dee Broussard (and husband Brian) of Coronado, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father, Parkey P. Payne Jr.
