Obituary of Daniel-F. Metivier

LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Daniel F. Metivier, 74, died Saturday Sept. 1, 2012 at his home following a period of declining health.Dan was born in Somersworth, April 15, 1938, the son of Cleophas and Ester (Brideau) Metivier. He was educated in Somersworth Schools graduating from Somersworth High School, Class of 1956. Later he graduated from Plymouth State College. Dan Served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1960.Dan had been employed at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Ind.Dan was predeceased by his wife Christina Metivier. A son Kevin Metivier. A sister Margie Kime. And a brother Jack Metivier.Survivors include two daughters, Denise Clenetson of Covina, Cali. and Tammy Eaton of Roanoak, Va.; Two sons, Daniel R. Metivier Sr. of Martinsville, Va. and Michael Metivier of Ala.; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Irene Lefebvre of Ft. Mead, Fla., Theresa Schreiber of San Diego, Cali. and Claire Clutts of Deming, N.M.; His fiancee, Brenda Schneider and her son, John both of Louisville; Nieces and nephews.Friends may call Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Roberge Funeral Home, 298 High St. Somersworth, N.H. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Saturday 1 p.m. at St. Ignatius' St. Martin Church 120 Maple St. Somerswortth, N.H.
