Obituary of Catherine Pownall

POWNALL, Catherine 1946 - 2017 With broken hearts, we announce the passing of a great lady, Catherine Pownall, who left us on July 2, 2017 at the young age of 71. She touched many with her kindness and generosity. She leaves to mourn her husband Philippe Parsneau; her brother Alan; her sisters-in-law Carole-Anne, Anna-Jean, and Doris; and brother-in-law Paul. She also leaves behind nieces Cindy and Colleen; nephews Tommy and Philippe; best friend Christine; as well as other family and friends. Catherine will be sorely missed by all those whose lives she touched with her positive outlook and kind words of advice. Special thanks to the West Island Palliative Care Residence (Stillview location), as well as her oncology medical team at the Royal Victoria Hospital. Donations may be made in her memory to the Salvation Army or Cedars Cancer Foundation. A Celebration of Catherine''s Life will be held on Friday, July 28 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. followed by a reception at the funeral home.
