Obituary of Barbara Williams

SOUTH PARIS --ÊBarbara Williams, 68, of Hebron died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005, at Market Square Health Care Center. She was born in Rumford on Oct. 5, 1937, the daughter of Leroy and Ruth Noyes Burgess. She graduated from Canton High School in the class of 1955. Barbara was devoted to her family and her husband of 49 years, Lester A. Williams Jr. Barbara loved being a grandmother. Her joyous and fun-loving spirit, her compassion, understanding and generous nature endeared her to her extended family and friends, especially to her nieces and nephews. Barbara was the "family photographer" and a cook who generously shared her gift. She is survived by her husband, of Hebron; son, Michael Williams of Rockland; son, Bryan Williams of Cape Coral, Fla., and his children, Dominique and Brett; and a brother, Ronald Burgess. She was predeceased by a son, James L. Williams; and a brother, Robert Burgess. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20, at Weston Chandler Funeral Home, 45 Main St., South Paris with interment to follow at 2:30 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Rangeley. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
