Obituary of Barbara-Joan-Putnam Brooks

A memorial service will be at noon Saturday at the First United Methodist Church of Glencoe for Barbara Joan Putnam Brooks, who passed away Thursday, Nov. 26, 2008. The Rev. Danny Meadows will officiate. Cremation services provided by Abanks Mortuary and Crematory.Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Brooks; parents, Travis Putnam and Glays Alred Putnam; and sister, Shirley Welch.She is survived by her stepmother, Lula Putnam; brothers, Jim (Tommie) Putnam and James Ray (Susan) Putnam; sisters, Sandy (Richard) Ponder, Debra (the Rev. Danny) Meadows and Cindy (Paul) Smith; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.All family and friends are invited to come to share this special time of remembrance.
